different mounting points and jdm (BB4) fan shroud is also smaller by an inch or so ;)
Ive got both sitting here so i could take some pics and measurements if needed.
Well surprising! Can't imagine why on earth they'd need to make them different?

BB4 had a different radiator - slightly smaller width and height but twice as thick as UKDM rad.
So i guess it follow the fan shroud would be smaller and have different mounting holes.
Heres a couple of pics ;)

JDM on left - UKDM on right

Arrrr, but again - why?
There's nothing else different about the front of the car, so I just can't think why they did it?! Would have thought the cost saved by the reduced height would have been off-set by the costs of thicker core and design/tooling/stocking/managing production line for different components, when there's no need. same engine, so cooling capacity demands are the same. :?

Odd. Anyway, moving on...

I have a question about fans @wurlycorner.

Which is the most efficient design (assuming same diameter):

More blades but smaller blades
Less blades but larger blades

Or is it all much of a muchness?

Only asking as the difference between UKDM and JDM rads on the 5G, aside from cap type, is the no of blades on the fan (as it seems to be for the 4G?). Wondered if it was a climatic decision, but even that is ridiculous considering Japan has everything from tropical forests to very cold snowy winters

Re: BB4 Koyo Racing Rad fitted

Fitted my Koyo Racing Rad today.

Here are some pics:

As you can see from the photos it wasnt a straight fit. The crossbeam had to have a couple of small notches put in it but the mounts top and bottom were spot an and the rad sat level and with just enough room to close the bonnet. The OEM fan shroud had one notch put in the side to clear the earth cable on the battery tray and we had to lose one of the mounting lugs altogether. In addition to this we had to cut down the 4 shroud mounting pionts on the rad itself. Now the oem fits like a glove. Obviously this was a load of work so thanks again to @3rd gen steve and @Merlin for their help otherwise this radiator would be going back in box
One good point to note is if you have a traction bar set up then this would be a straight fit with no modifications needed ;)
