Timing kit for h22a8

Post by derrick1988 » Fri Jun 20, 2014 12:24 am

As I never recieved a service history with my lude!! I want to do the cam belts as I don't want to run the risk of thinking 'it'll be fine' I will need to replace auto tensioner too as after reading up if I don't, 90% of them fail months after using old one. I might aswell do the water pump aswell while I'm at it but really it's just finding the most quality and exact fitting parts. :)

I know gates has been mentioned but I only see the belts on eBay no tensioner and as regards water pump in not sure what make to go for!

People panic unduly about water pumps these days, TbH...
It's been a great ploy by the car manufacturers, taking them off the aux belt where they were a fit and forget item, to putting them on the cambelt and suddenly everyone regards them as service items. Good work boys - keep the cash rolling in on parts that don't need changing...
