Re: Petee's Lude 4th Gen H23
Hey,
Cheers everyone. Appreciate the appreciation.
Got to say after driving it for its first week I am stunned out how great the car is. So much response, feels like it's on rails round corners. Pulls away extremely well and through the gears. It's just brilliant. It's been admired already by a fair few people, and no one is believing it is 20 years old. Haha.
Here are a few more pics, I've been awaiting some nice weather to get out and detail the beauty but I haven't had much luck. So instead I've been looking at a few how to jobs I can get on with soon. Such as fixing the drivers door check strap. And engine tucking.
Here's a relatively tidy engine bay. Can't wait to tidy this up, get some shine on, tuck away the unnecessary features so it is just all engine.

The very tidy interior. Love all the retro

And the converted sunroof

Anyone else tucked their engine bay before? Must be a few on here

I'm based in Bedfordshire, in a place called Sandy.Welcome. Great buy and it's great to see an H23 being loved
where about are you?
Cheers mate. It is indeed a manual, cars do look very similar. Hopefully see them next to each other in the future.Wheeey! Great to see another H23. is yours a manual? if so we pretty much have the same car.
Shame mine is no where near as tidy as that beaut
Looks Great.

I will look them up.
And thanks, it is in brilliant condition. Picture doesn't show up the little niggles, but nothing a good clean won't sort.

I cannot fault the additions to the car. It is making it hard for me to think of how to make this my own.
An engine tuck is high on my list, and I think it would be pretty special.
Apart from that just want to get this as tidy and clean as I possibly can and maintain it.

He did leave it on for the ride home. it has swapped over to the original M plate now. Would of been a bargain with the private plate.
Have looked to see if I can find a cheeky plate with H23 on it somewhere, but no joy yet...
Been looking at upgrading the bushes on the car. Found a full set on Vivid Racing for £195. Has anyone used this brand before? Or suggest one to go with?

I am aiming to get under the bonnet this week and get that engine bay gleaming like new. Also been looking a bit further into the tuck. Looks like it would be best to take the cruise control out, has anyone done this? I was told I would need to look at a new engine mount once I took it out. is this true?
