I had heard there was a high bhp turbo 5th around but I have never seen it.

If anyone is interested I would happily go and look it over for them.

Yes the self tappers put me off a bit too. In a car that's obviously rat-look fair enough, but.... also with some of you guys on having confidence in the seller given the fast and loose attitude to facts elsewhere... it's probably fine I guess though. Not sure I fancy quite that much power in a lude, but what do I know. I haven't driven it. :)

On a different note, seems the done thing to mention MOT's, if only as a reminder to self. Nearly forgot mine but got it done today. Last year Tester complimented condition, and no advisories. This year Tester said "It's absolutely perfect", and no advisories :D This is no credit to me but to previous owners, and Gerry who services it. It's now up to 55k on the clock, and it's obviously healthy as on a private test track it might purely hypothetically have pulled through 130 and kept going quite dismissively a couple of weeks ago :)

Not that it's about speed. It's the 4WS and handling I really like.

To be fair, we were sceptical about the supercharged 5th gen when it was advertised and Dave picked up a right bargain... ;)

But it's got Brembo brake pads lads. Let's not forget that. Brembo pads.

I am quite shocked he spent all that money but hasn't upgraded the calipers or fitted coilovers. That's a lot of power for the standards to be stopping and getting round corners.

^^ This, totally. From the pics and the write up it looks (and sounds) thrown together.. even if there are receipts for the engine work done. Plus the fact that it's being sold on so quickly and at such an obvious loss to the seller, naaaah... it's not for me.
