back to my 5th gen (3rd gen still sitting without any work or decisions made)
It has been a super busy week, had no time for anything but yesterday my 5th gen screamed for attention. this time was front pads

I think a got replacements just in time
the job was meant to be easy, but then after 2 weeks or so of no rain, it started just the wrong time
the disc screws were so tight, I had to borrow a tool from halfords for a job
http://www.halfords.com/motoring/garage ... river-bits
It came with 4 or 5 philips screw bits and I could not believe when on the first attempt the bit just went into pieces

same did the second one

luckily the other 2 took all 4 retaining screws off and the discs were finally off
Then brake pads were somehow too big

turns out it was rust underneath the bottom plate (a lot of rust)
installation was really easy and took literally no time and here is the result:
I resprayed all screws with wd40 to ease the things next time when I find time for the springs and check suspension noise from front driver side somewhere. Also used copper ease this time, so pads and discs should be an easy job next time.
