Thanks guys, nice to hear your words of support.

I just couldn't let the car die. Considering I had wanted one for so long.

Thanks for the advice on the green panels. It's a shame its such a rare colour.
The problem I have is that all of the panels currently on the car itself (I got for free) are not in good condition. So I would need to spend a fair amount of money buying new panels, then getting them re-sprayed. I'd rather just buy green panels but that may take a while…if anyone knows of a green car breaking please let me know.

In the meantime I need to get four wheel alignment done. Fingers crossed on the results of that.

You should be able to pick up a good wing, bonnet and bumper for less than £200 all in (actually more like £150). Then a few hundred more to paint.
What have you been quoted/where from? Commercial breakers?

Probably looking at about £500 for panels and paint them all? I wouldn't be surprised if it was a lot more than that.
That's why I was thinking of waiting until green panels come about.

If we're talking drivers wing, front bumper and bonnet, you buying the panels and fitting them/trim etc then I reckon £500 should be perfectly achievable, yep.

You're bound to get quoted stupid prices for panels from breaker yards though (it wouldn't surprise me if they want £150 for a bonnet in the wrong colour? - which is just ridiculous) so shop around and better still, buy them off a car being broken on the forum, where people sell for sensible prices.
@Donald may be able to help you out with those panels, as it happens?

Similarly paint shops, some won't really want that type of work so they'll quote silly high prices, other smaller back street independents will happily take it on for sensible money when they're quiet.

Yes even if he could just give me an idea of price that would be good, haven't figured out how to use the @ thing here yet.

On a separate note, does anyone have an explanation of the different front and side lips available for a 5G, mine is a motegi but I swear that there are some differences with age even within the motegi kit.

I sure as jobby wouldn't...

Posting panels even when you're not bothered about the paint is a very risky business!
