Anyone been to vegas!?

Post by Stevelar_granolar » Wed Jul 30, 2014 6:43 pm

Hey! Me and the mrs are going to vegas in oct (friends getting married) just wondered if anyones been before and any recomendations of whats most worth while doing or visiting!? We will only have 4 free days. Obviously sleep is out of the question during our trip and we have booked to fly to the grand canyon in a helicopter and stop there for a day. Any advice or recomendations gladly taken

I went a couple of years ago and want to go back.
Use the monorails there is one on each side of the strip but you enter them via the hotels. We took a bus to Downtown Vegas and had a look around the outlet village. The hotels are something else, we stayed at the MGM and had breakfast at a little Mexican restaurant just up from there (very nice). Enjoy the Vegas there is so much more there than just casinos.

Yes, Use the monorails.
The big bus tour is quite useful too.
Hoover Dam is quite a sight and worth the ride out.
Penn & Teller are also great worth the watch.
If you plan on drinking it gets very expensive. Play the slots, they then give you drinks for free ;)

"What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but the 400-pound woman perched in front of a slot machine, oozing bum-flesh off her stool as she balanced a cocktail and cigarette in one hand and robotically tugged the slot arm with the other........................ that's still with me."
