My wife went on one of these courses in Basingstoke: £60.
Apart from giving us the opportunity to extract the Michael, she said it was a real eye-opener.
One of the things she learned was the lack of awareness in other people. She's had her licence for aeons but still didn't know it all by a long way. But the level of ignorance demonstrated by up to half of her fellow 'students' caused her to start to look at other drivers in a new way.

How you get a speed awareness course if you already have points?? I thought it was only offered to people with clean licence :?

Ah maybe a percentage of the speed or something then. I recently got done doing 57 in a 50 on the m1 in Yorkshire  but because there wasn't any speed awareness courses near me in Salisbury, i had to take the points and fine :troll:
