Sam's idea for the tag button is pretty sound.
I would add that membership fees would be a really bad idea, lots of us would never have got on here in the first place if it was like that. I generally like to donate when something I have used has been useful, saved me time and/or money. I do think the donate option should be a little more obvious though, as it would act as a more obvious reminder to donate.
Overall the site is fantastic though, it is well run and maintained, a real credit to the admins. Not being full of advertising really helps (or maybe that's just my AdBlock doing its job properly!)
PreludeUK used to be really good as well but sadly ended up a complete shambles thanks to a lazy, self-centred admin by all accounts. While it is useful to still have access to some of the good articles on the forums there, the fact it is riddled with drive-by browser hijacks and other malware is a complete disgrace.
In terms of improvements for LudeGeneration, I believe a section dedicated to downloads for Workshop manuals and owner manuals would be fantastic, possibly linked to the Wiki section, just so long as bandwidth was managed properly so as not to interfere with the forum loading speed.
