thanks for getting back to me, do you think that it might be easier to bypass all that mess, clip it off and tape it out of the way and run a feed straight from the battery? Would i need a separate switch so its not constant? Or do i want it to be constant? I dunno if when i plug my charger in its already running when it works or does it only run when somethings plugged into it?wurlycorner wrote:Need some slightly better pics to see what's gone on there, but if that exposed wire end was live and it touched the metal chassis in there, that could have caused the insulation to overheat and melt like that.
There is a 'holder' for a plug in your first photo - that white thing is what the oem wiring plugs slide onto to keep them in place instead of flapping around, so it's possible that plug was always meant to be there and spare but some muppet has buggered about with it and left it flapping about and that's what's caused you these problems...
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Re: Patience is a virtue
DO I carbon wrap the hood or do I not? I have measured and cut the carbon wrap for it or should I spray it black or should I just leave it well alone, save like a mad man and buy a carbon one?
I saw some Dura-flex wings on eBay and thought WOW! £90! they're cheap for a pair if wings, so I email to check how much to post them, they wanted Nearly £250 to post them
Christ! and if they are so cheap to manufacture why do we not have a parts place in the UK that imports them? Anything I want to buy for this car is outrageously expensive, even when buying from anyone in the UK, its like they see me coming, Why is the 5th Gen so much more expensive than the 4th gen on parts?!
Rant over, have a good evening

Carbon wrapping the bonnet can look good if it's done well.
: not sure about 4th gen moding bits being more expensive than 4th gen? In general, after market lude bits are more expensive than other Honda's though, just because it's a smaller market unfortunately.
I like the orange piping in that pic above btw.

Re: Patience is a virtue
Right, since I have a day off I was supposed to be picking up my front bonnet spoiler from jay-lude due to 'er indoors being bed ridden we have decoded to make it another day which has freed up some time to do this...... but I don't know that I like it.....its a cheap way of tarting and I know it will last all of a week, as you can see I stopped near the end cause I thought I might get a second opinion.......
