i found last time i went launching above around 2k rpm was causing too much wheel spin on the line. i do need to work on my starts though as i wasnt too happy with the this time round. different tyres though so im guessing i wasnt used to them.

this is how i feel in regards to the interior. i dont think the weight in the boot makes a big difference, as its just a sub and spare wheel. and the spare wheel is only there to support the sub and will go when i get round to decking the boot.

but i think the passenger seat will make a big difference in weight and i dont think i will be wanting to run it on the road like that.

so im looking at generating more power really rather then weight loss. but im running out of ideas. what about things like atr cams and intake mani? heard these mentioned before but no idea what kind of money i would be looking at and what kind of gains they might make?

It's all about power to weight. Decreasing weight is easier than increasing power.. try some lighter wheels, I swear my car is faster now I have those ultra-lightweight Konigs on over my ultra-heavyweight Wolfrace's (although it's probably all in my head  )

No wheel spin, wheel hop. Where the wheels judder up and down as the wheel gets and brakes traction due to the wheel moving back and forward in the wheel well. My 5th gets a bit of this.

wheel hop didnt seem too bad running the nearly slick yokohamas ash.z lent me for the day.

As others have said, the rear seats weigh absolutely nothing. Quick weight wins would be passenger seat and emptying the boot (you'd be surprised how much difference that makes).

Used type s/atr cams should cost you in the region of £80-£120. Not sure on gains, we've just put some.in Lisa's and you can hear the difference (much more agressive vtec engagement) but no figures to go on.

+1 for this question. Do you have to take the timing belt and tensioner etc off to fit them or can you just hold the belt still enough to swap them out?
