hi guys im now the proud owner of a 5th gen red prelude with 76k on her and im in love with it already 2.2 vti too lol only thing is im finding the clutch a bit funny as in there is no pressure needed to press the clutch about 2" then normal pressure kicks in no problems with clutch bit and what not and when i realease the pedal it goes to where its just above where it bits stays there for a couple of seconds the literally springs back to full travel but still nothing when i press pedal till about 2"down bit confused as never had this in any previous cars all help greatful cheers guys oh and im from doncaster way lol

Welcome.

If there are no fluid leaks from the clutch master or slave cylinder, then have a go at bleeding through the system.

the previous owner said he bled the sytem a few weeks ago maybe he has done it incorrect???

That could be it, or he bled the system because it has a leak? Have a good look around the pedal area for fluid, on the bulkhead and at the slave cylinder on the gearbox. Hopefully it should be a simple fix.

The oem service manual can be downloaded from the wiki section on the forum. Think it's explained in there? It's just like bleeding a brake caliper though, basically.
One small word of caution on the 5th gen manual - it's the USDM manual rather than UKDM.

Hi guys quick update lol cheers for the welcome took a quick look this morning clutch fluid reserved if ok and no obvious leaks but the pedal stuck a couple of times and was hard to change gear had to flick pedal up with foot then reapply to change gear.
