Thanks - I didn't have any deep defects to fill, not on this wheel anyway, I have one on another. So looking for recommendations of products to use.nick_s wrote:Very nice results! Did you have any deep defects that needed filling, and if so, what did you use?
Where can I get this from? Do halfrauds sell anything?RattyMcClelland wrote:I use upol metallic bodyfiller on wheels I refurb.

Naked Badgers
Online only really like the above link unless a local paint shop will do it.
Normal bodyfiller will work fine however.

How ever halfords do sell quite abit of other upol products, primers, fillers, tack rags etc etcwurlycorner wrote:As Ratty says, U-Pol is professional stuff, so Halfords etc don't sell it, but car panel/paint factors will do.
There's plenty metal fillers out there and in halfords, there's 2parts metal filler also, smells rank but strong stuff.
Also after years of messing with paints, the water based spray cans durability is very week, they can't be touched with petrol or thinners after either,
However you can get 2pack paint in a can, my local autofactors sell it and you get that super hard and durable coating not to mention a great finish,
I only use the gun now as it's either 2k paint or base with 2k lacquer
Your finish is execellent. Although 150 sandpaper is much to course, finish with 800 for water based paints
