Haha! I asked for it to be around 98db so I can still get onto the majority of trackdays. There is an option to buy a more free flowing and therefor louder backbox if I want as well.

My original custom-made 2.25" exhaust had a really good sound and measured 88db when tested at trackdays, so I am hoping this will sound a bit more angry!

Is it worth going all the way to 3" without a custom ECU/tune nitin?
I'd have thought that the tri-y and 2.5" would get everything possible out of a standard ECU and anything more than that would be a waste?

I have no actual experience in this though, so I am genuinely more asking a question there, rather than making a statement!

[nitin-disguise]My gut feeling is that I will lose torque and power in the low and midrange and gain a bit at the top end, however there are several tests in the US where they have proven that even a fairly stock H22 responds much better to a 3" exhaust over even a 2.5" exhaust.

1 of 2 of those tests were with crush bent 3" systems, which flow about the same as a 2.75" mandrel bent system but it will be interesting to see how mine responds to the change.

On that note I understand 260-270bhp is where a 2.5" system struggles to cope on an H22 motor so you are better with larger diameter on a well tuned NA H22 motor.[/nitin-disguise]

Best to phone or send him an SMS, I believe he doesn't reply to e-mails that quickly. I have PM'ed you with all the prices I was given, as I don't know whether he would want me posting them online.

I never got a reply to my e-mail I sent him
I rang him in the end then we exchanged a few texts while he sorted out the repair.

I have him on Facebook, from back in the old Prelude UK days..

He has seen the message on the day I sent him but maybe he is too busy to reply. :(
