Pretty sure he got rid of everything 'large' and just kept the smaller or performance items stored away. I've already had a few things off him ha.

Going up the workshop soon and we're going to rip the poor thing open and see if it's as bad as suspected or save-able. Fingers crossed everyone...!

It's actually got to the point where Bruce has offered to get me a modern, reliable car to use daily, but I still just want to keep this green piece of jobby on the road, am I mad?

I know this is sacrilege but as much as I love my older cars, since buying Laura an Audi A6 (which isn't even that new) and having driven it a fair bit I could fairly happily have a modern car as my daily  I love my older cars too much to cast them adrift though!

How about a nice 4th or 5th gen prelude as a compromise? :)

the things that make new cars nice to drive are the things that make driving an old car more exciting in a new car the cars are so insulated you hear nothing from outside you feel very little sensation from the car no sense of speed or feedback from steering/brakes.
An old car is lighter so feels faster sounds faster gives loads of feedback through the seat of your pants and the steering and brakes.
I am all for modernising old cars rather than buying new cars I think manufacturers should offer upgrades to older vehicles instead of always producing new vehicles.
If Honda said bring in your prelude as long as the chassis is rust free and we will fit a new powerplant (say K24 or V6)and brakes and It will cost £5k or so I would be seriously thinking about it.
