All because of the Transformers franchise.

That must be quite an engineering feat to replace normal doors like that. Always fancied a convertible conversion to my 3g. (No chainsaw jokes please)

I can just see you in this:-

Here's a "speedster" version, if you prefer:-

Although I'd rather have a Legend (even if it is an Acura):-

B/Hell, bet they cost a fortune to convert, like the legend, especially.

Lambo door conversion can be a DIY job. there were a couple of 4th gens done that way a few years ago.
I forget any of the members usernames though and none of the cars are around now AFAIK?

:? Why do I like that bottom 3g you posted with lambo doors?
Even the pink one looks ok (aside from the colour) but that speedster is drokking awful!!!

There was a 5G owner in Norwich that had them on his, he's since sold it and been through a ton of nice Jap cars actually.

I'll stick with the pink convertible. But in another colour!! Doesn't suit my lipstick.

Ditto. And to answer the original question, yes it is sacrilege.

Having said that, the first car I ever drove was a mark 2 Escort, and despite their rwd-ness I feel both Escorts are massively over-rated and over priced.

That Legend looks pretty good, though.
