Raced a corolla t sport in the smart car about 4 years ago. It was a rolling start 100yd dash to a gate wide enough for 1 car. I won. Twice. I think he was scared of the 4" box section gatepost.

@wurly: Well personally the first reason for a change in lifestyle is we save £1500 a month on rent and livery. One thousand five hundred pounds per month. Every month. That is £18,000 a year.

With the price of small 5-7 acre fields that quickly amounts to a number of investment opportunities in the land market.

Land that you can drive up to in your RV and park in while you develop it. While in an RV you are not liable for council tax, water rates or any of the bills associated with living. Just slightly elevated costs on fuel. but with a serious solar array that is, again, almost negated.

Thats the first, and most obvious, benefit to our personal situation.
As regards paying a fair price for a fair job wurly, thats nothing to do with capitalism buddy. It only has to do with cooperation. That we use money as an exchange of value has no meanng on the actual situation. I could have used bitcoins or oranges if the guy was game.

@phil: It sounds like you have it all worked out mate. I am glad for you. I don't.
If you would like to further discuss international political and economic strategy I can forward a number of well respected economics and investment publications and commentators for your edification.

One worth a read is Princeton University Prof Martin Gilens. He recently submitted a report stating America is an oligarchy, rather than a democracy. His findings are very compelling.

America's Democracy is not a shining example tocomment on being democratic though tbf... A more capitolistic dog eat dog and jobby on the loser society it would be hard to find, with then only 2 parties to choose from come election time and you have to be a millionaire bank rolled by big business to be anywhere in with a hope of even being selected to stand let alone win, not to mention how unfairly the number of seats are divied up by state etc.
So someone publishing a thesis saying that country is an oligarchy rather than fully democratic, is hardly ground breaking or surprising stuff! :D

Yet is is the international standard for democracy. With a voter turn out of less than 60%. Seems to be a good system then eh?

Of course our first past the post system is totes above board and without cronyism and corruption ;) Three parties to choose from makes all the difference doesn't it.?

You are being obtuse again, and for the hell of it. :P

First past the post is a bollocks voting system, as I've said previously.

No, you are chosing to take my words in a way other than how they are meant, again. I'm not sure why you do that whenever someone challenges (or actually in this case agreeds with part) of what you've said. It comes across as if you think everyone is out to get you?

awww, wurly. I had honestly thought a tongue sticking out smiley would have shown the obvious levity to the comment. Seriously.

But truth to tell I answered your question and your comedy quip and you ignored those and deflamed a comment meant for someone else.

By all normal situations that comes across as being obtuse.

I meant no offence, as I am sure you didnt. Syntax is a bugger.

Anyway, regardless, the truck is home. This thread is old news.

Thanks for all the advice guys.
