I do wonder how it thinks I like certain things, people ect. They are indeed watching us :?
They are, but sometimes their algorithms are crap. I kept getting ads (before using an ad blocker) for singles and dating sites.
My relationship status was "engaged"
Maybe it was a test of your commitment haha.

Isn't it a Facebook-Microsoft thing? Databases are being shared, including address books. Gmail's in there somewhere, too.
For example, if my sister wants to send me an email and just types in the first three letters of my first name and'enter', the mail turns up in my Outlook Inbox addressed to my son - just because he once used my mail address and happens to be on Facebook.

I hate it!

And then the idiots add the year-in-review thing which managed to upset loads of people:-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/30624897

Apparently, one of the auto-generated 'highlights of your year' was a picture of a chap's 6 year old daughter with festive balloons in the background. Unfortunately, she'd died in 2014.
Some might say you should expect this sort of thing if you post such personal stuff in the public domain, but it's not as if the corporates don't know what their product is being used for. Bastards.

One day, one day, the interweb will fail. It won't have to be for more than a second or two for the effect to be massive and for major reevaluation to take place. Roll on. Roll on.

FB sync any numbers in your phone book To your FB account. So if somebody in your phone book has an FB account it will auto suggest them as a friend.....

Interesting... I don't think Lisa has it linked to her phone book... Will have to investigate.

Are there any photos on facebook of your mum including photos related to you. Facebook uses face recognition also.

Interesting, so you're saying that if Lisa had a photo of her with me in it and my mum had a photo of her with me in it (without being tagged) then that would be enough?

I wouldn't know tbh, not being on there, I've never looked at my mums profile. I kinda doubt it - I can't remember the last time I might have been photographed with my mum (it would have been many, many years ago!), but I suppose anything is possible.
