You haven't looked hard enough..

Just went on Autotrader to have a look and saw these two.

This one is H22A8 and it's cheap So with eveything you need it's a bargain to transfer in to your 2.0i..

This one is H22A8 with nice leather seats and looks greats too.

First one doesn't look bad if you ignore the bodywork... and disgusting interior. Guy didn't want my engine and this one has only done ~10k less so I don't expect this will be of interest.

Second one... 2 grand for a 170k car... no thanks

I think that's about right.

As we said, H22a engines can take a good beating. Only needs a service and probably go past the 200k mark.

Agreed, several engines on the forum with that kind of mileage but I imagine he's after something sub-100k. But still, a 170k car is going to be a bit different IMO to just an engine with that kind of mileage.

Yea it's just if going through the hassle of a swap, it might as well be low mileage, I'm still considering ur one tho Donald lol

problem is mate most preludes are well over 10 years old now so with an avearge mileage its going to be alot higher than 100k.

tbh its nothing for a h series though!

Where to find them? Usual places...
eBay
gumtree
this forum
Autotrader
Carandclassic
Etc

There's quite a fast turnover of them so it's a question of keeping looking

I'm pretty sure the costs of a 2.0 and a decent engine would be more than a decent condition lude with a h22a8 even if you do have to pay a little over the odds for the car.

Also, if you are hell bent on an engine swap get a h22a7 with LSD from an accord type r. You'll probably find an engine much easier as there are plenty of people out there breaking accords as a pose to preludes.
