The dreaded crank pulley! I have been there and its not fun. We should really try and build of a stock pile of these but they are so difficult to get off

Are H22 crank pulleys the same as H23?

The H23 one will fit, I swapped it over when I did the engine swap - but I did it as the width of belt was different for alt/air con. We might need to confirm what belt is currently fitted?

Don't even get me started!!

I can't speak for the crank pulley, but the aircon pulley is most definitely bigger, meaning we needed a longer belt. It was so long ago now though, that I can't remember what size belt it was.

Hahah yeh it has been soooo long ! I think I still have the packaging for the belt we used Adam ill have a look ...............................

power steering one was 4pk1020
and I think the one we used from the alternator was 5pk948 ( but im sure we cut off a ridge or something as its a bit weird that ones a 4 rige and ones a 5 ridge ? ) It has been so long since I played with my car as i had it on my dads drive for over a year and a half whilst I went travelling lol !

Am I gonna have to drop the engine or is it possible to access it through the front wheel arch ? Will I need a locking tool to lock the crank shaft ?

You can do it all in place, but yes, you'll need the locking tool.
