Post by jonja » Wed Mar 18, 2015 7:40 am

Will my pistons and all other inside bits fit from h22a jdm black top to h22a2 block?

They'll fit, yes - you can interchange pretty much any h22 block, but you'll need to check that the individual bore and piston sizes match as a pair within spec (either by going off the original size identifying letters stamped on them, or by measuring them and checking against the spec in the manual).

Have anyone done this before? I need correct information not to lose power

Thing is , in my block nikasil coating is worn out and I need a different block but my pistons and everything else is ok, and that's why I'm asking. I need to find out wich parts I have to leave from h22a2 and what can i take from my h22a black top

why not buy another h22a? for the cost of a head gasket set, head skim, bearings and rings it'll probably cost the same.

i also didn't think there is a nikasil coating on the liners?!

i'd be suprised if the pistons are ok is the have don the liners in.

H22a doesnt have nickosil liners and as phil says if the liners are knackered the pistons and or rings will be in the same condition
H22's have an FRM lining
