Check your owners manual or the Honda service manual. You'll see they recommend 10w-40 semi synthetic as the most suitable for the UK temperature range. You can use others, but they don't most closely match the range of ambient temperatures in the UK.
Honda won't be ammending the oil specs for such an old car now.
