Though the rust wasn't as bad as can be.
And a full respray.

I will be doing my arches in the coming weeks myself, I plan on just cutting out the rot in a few places and welding in new metal "patches", then filling..
however, I am doing this as a kind of temporary fix as I know full well that doing it this way will result in the rust coming back quite soon..
The only way to do it properly I have been told is to buy the arch panels from cebul and have them proffesionally done which is what I will be doing in the future.
make sure you know what they are doing to the car is what imggetting at as others have said you can very easily get ripped off with body work of this type... 1300 sounds like alot for just a patch up really, id be expecting a full respray for that but then I do live in the middle of wales and prices are different

I was at a body shop today and spoke to them about replacing the arches...
I have replacement rear quarter panels here ready to fit but they said it would be about £500 per side based on 12 hours labour each and to get the whole car fixed up and resprayed would be at least £3000
