I went through insurance for mine - i had to pay excess £100.
This was about 3 years ago - it was autoglass that did mine - if i remember right the windscreen was about £120 and the trim was nearly the same amount so around the £200-£250 so similar to Vtecmec.
The insurance company tried to tell me it would be about £700 for bronze tint but when i spoke to the fitter he said that was rubbish and you could get bronze for same price

Ok thanks lads gona get some prices tomorrow when i pick my car up...btw ben at vtec direct insists that some preludes didnt have vtec in first...he said some euro r accords didnt.

What chip? MPH converter or a JDM P13 ECU chip?

Ideally you want to have a chipped JDM P13 ECU as that removes the speed limiter and still allows VTEC in 1st, and a set of UK dials so it reads in MPH

Yeah kmh to mph chip on gearbox(i think thats where it is). However in future gona be changing ecu with hondata system so dont want to change anything on current ecu. Vtec direct forgot to remove the chip so waiting till the end of the month 2hen i take it back for manifold change.

I had a screen replaced, they couldn't get the trim surround and didn't bother getting enough clips - moral of the story, F*CK AUTOGLASS!

..I also have a JDM Prelude in my garage with a bronze screen. But it's in Cornwall. And it's old. And no, I won't risk posting it. It's yours if you want it though

Have you not rung round and got quotes for getting a new one supplied and fitted yet?
