Sorry to hear of more troubles :(

Interesting that the exedy clutch has bonded friction material rather than riveted :? - that had better be some pretty impressive glue!

As for the wear on the driven plate, that's perhaps surprising... If I understand SLS right, it's a rolling start onto the lap, right? So you don't do any hard standing starts at all?
Worth checking with competition clutch that your old clutch had the right driven plate in it maybe???

No standing starts. I have maybe done 3 or 4 hard launches. I think that some of the wear could be put down to the separation of the clutch and pressure plate issues I have had a couple of times.

TBH I can live with 5 gear grind just now, if that is all it turns out to be. So long as I make it the end of the season. After that its fine, I might upgrade the internals... carbon syncros may be gears too :?

 You are not wrong. Even more so if I want to jump up a class next year

I have new banjo bolts coming now, from HEL of all places. Using HEL bolts on my Goodridge braided line

I was going to suggest... Since the master cylinder is designed for a flared pipe fitting rather than a banjo, the best solution might be to revert to using a flared pipe out of the master cylinder with a hard line running across the top of the box and then use an inline pipe-pipe connection to join the hard line to a braided flexi up to the slave cylinder? (An in-line joint like the inboard end of the front brake flexi's, if you get my meaning).

I know what you mean. There are a couple of problems though, I already have a braided line with a banjo fitting on it, the 4th gen MC has it's fitting pointing vertically so there isn't a lot of room. Mind you the cost of getting a new braided hose made up probably isn't much.

Was it crunching into 5th or grinding when in gear?

Only when going into 5th gear. Once in 5th there was no issue, or when changing down to 4th.

Could be just the worn clutch. I had the same with my
DC2 before I changed the clutch

Fingers crossed that is it. If it is that just as well I changed the clutch over 8-)

HEL sent me the wrong sized banjo bolt so I couldn't test out if it is the bolt that is giving me hydraulic clutch issues. So instead I tried to get on top of some of my oil leaks. Oil has been coming out of the top of the engine and making its way into the gearbox bell housing, covering everything and contaminating the clutch plate.

I replaced the rocker cover gasket, spark plug seals and rocker cover washer plates with OEM

Nice and clean on the inside

And all put back together again with some Honda Bond 8-)
