Engine swop with accord??

Post by chris1811 » Sun Jul 26, 2015 5:14 am

Will a 2001, 2.0 Vtec 145bhp Accord engine fit my 1993 JDM Lude?

Only asking because I may be able to get my hands on one for nothing :)

Also the HT leads on my Lude are RED. Are these likely to be upgraded ones or original? How can I tell either way?

Cheers

They aren't original, but could be upgraded ones, or standard spec aftermarket.

What does the writing on them say?

Do you have the engine code on that accord engine?

I don't have engine code yet but I'll try and get a few more details tonight like Vin etc.

HT lead wise I'm not sure they are quite dirty. I'll clean them up when it's not peeing down and take a look :)

Right the Accord VIN is SHHCH7840U300559

It's a 2001 5 door SE AUTO

According to reg check it has a 2.0 Vtec with 145 BHP.

Now will this fit in my Lude?
Is it easier to tune than the N/A?
Is it even worth the hassle being an Auto eventhough it is Vtec?

If not what can I do to get the most out of my N/A?

Cheers
