LOOKING FOR - All parts to convert to manual (4G)

Post by chris1811 » Sat Aug 01, 2015 6:41 pm

Evening all,

Finally come into some cash looking to convert my 4G JDM Auto to Manual.

Its the 2.2 N/A F22B engine if that helps.

What do I need and does anyone have it all?

Cheers

you need the shifter and cables the gearbox side engine mount the gearbox obviously a clutch a flywheel, flywheel and clutch bolts the gearbox clutch inspection plate from a manual car.
Also the clutch and brake pedal from a manual the master and slave cylinders and associated piping.

oh and not to forget the manual ecu and someone to rewire your reverse light and starter lockout.

Ok so found a 1995 UKDM 2.2 N/A manual which could be a good doner. Would this be a straight swop from one to the other with mine being a JDM??

Yes that would be a straight swap. It's all the same jdm/ukdm, only difference is internals of the gearboxes.

I will have all the gearboxes for manual conversion available from my breaker after tomorrow. Gordonlear has first dibs on it all.

How much we talking wurly if he doesn't take it?

So if I'm reading this right, even though internals are different it will all simply swop in and out :)

Yes, everything is a straight swap.
The internal differences are gear ratios - there are various different gearbox ratios spread around 4g ludes (jdm and ukdm). There is also an LSD box (that was only on jdm 4g's).

The atr box is a better box because it has a better lsd than the prelude lsd, but is not a 100%direct swap IIRC? (you have to swap parts of the vss from the vss on a manual prelude box..? I'm sure that someone will be along to confirm that shortly!)
