Try Admiral. They seem to be Ok with many mods, they don't like lightened fly wheels though.
You pay your money and take your chance with Sky. The proposal form on mine was riddled with errors which, when eventually corrected, they changed something else. In the end I gave up asking them to change it and wrote a letter confirming all the correct information. Every time I added a small irrelevant mod, they deleted an existing more important one. This was a few years back now so it is possible they may have improved. Chris Knott weren't much better.
Whoever you choose check their Toba and their admin fees for mid term changes and notifications. Some Brokers appear to be buying in business cheap and relying on mid term charges for their profits. What may appear a cheap policy could cost you over the year if you make a handful of changes to your policy.

Used Adrian Flux several times over the years and not had a problem with them at all.
I have also used Chaucer. Digging through their small print I found some things that weren't nice - can't recall exactly now, but it was something to do with the Thatcham alarm/immobiliser could only be a max number of years old otherwise various aspects of cover were null and void. That hadn't been stated in advance so you only found out after taking out the insurance, but there was then another clause saying it had to have been that age at policy inception (so it wasn't something you could then rectify afterwards i.e. by having a new system fitted straight away once you found out). There was something else as well, but I can't recall what. That was shocking IMO, so check it all very carefully.
No one mentioned Tim @ prestige?
I was on a multi-car with Admiral until this year, but their premiums this year were so uncompetitive, it was unreal. They were suddenly over a hundred pounds (per car, on premiums that are around 200-300 range) more expensive than I got elsewhere on separate policies, with cover that was no better (I only go for good cover and low excess policies).
These things go in cycles though and are all down to each individual set of circumstances each time, so that doesn't mean they won't be cheaper for others etc...

I've been with Adrian Flux for 95% of all my vehicles from when I was 17, including my BB4 with all mods declared, along with my old muscle cars, the trikes, all sorts. They've always given me brilliant service, and that's why I just keep staying with them. Now got 6 vehicles insured with them, and can't fault them at all.
