Gauging Interest - Type S for sale

Post by kungfoobob » Mon Sep 07, 2015 12:27 am

Hi all, I was surprised to see the price this Type S sold for.

I have a White 1998 Type S with approx 100k which I am considering selling. It's not mint but it's not 3k though :)

Plus points
It's a straight car never crashed (bodywork really quite nice)
Strong redtop engine.
JDM extras including
• Honda access suspension
• Half leather interior
• Folding Mirrors
No sunroof and manual (obviously)
ATTS good
Refurbished powder coated factory 16 inch wheels (satin black)
Recent replacement ignition switch
Previously reliable vehicle

Negatives
MOT just expired
It's got a Sigma M30 immobiliser fitted which works but isn't the best!
The biggy - It needs a starter motor and has a problem with the distributor. The replacement which I put on had a misfire and kept burning out the coil. I have the original. I burnt the starter out due to the distributor problem :(
It has had a replacement side window but this is not quite right, it needs adjustment.
It needs a passenger side mirror (folding replacement included)

Pics to follow if anyone is interested. Should think it would make an excellent track car? Or back on the road with a little TLC.

Located near Wolverhampton.

£1500 for quick sale?

Topic split to avoid confusion/ensure visibility.

Good price, but you will need to add pics I think kungfoobob...

I'll start the ball rolling with a grand considering it's an unknown and has no MOT.

Get some pictures up. I'd offer closer to your asking price if I like what I see.

I think I've just bought this, whilst in New York.....lol
My brother lives about 2 miles away from kungfubob, and I'm sure he is working a deal out as I write this.
Needless to say I will be restoring it.
