WTF is going on with the air intake though? What is that silver thing that looks like it's meant to be a cone air filter, but isn't attached?

Common oil leak areas are the cam seal or distributor seal on that side of the engine, balance shaft seal, or oil cooler o-ring. Crank seal is less common.

 Interesting that it's pre face lift and k-plate, but doesn't have the sex blocker? :?

The rear brakes will need the handbrake pivot pin freeing off, carrier slider pins and pad shims cleaning up/servicing/greasing, more than discs and pads.

As fod gearbox oil, the Honda service manual can be download from a link in the wiki, which gives the specs.
Changing discs and pads as there rusty and because the car has been stood for years!
Want a new air filter but the end is connected lol

Am I better off buying off every seal on the pulley side

good work matey 8-) nice to see you have an aim of how you want yours to look like too!

get those wheels cleaned up, get some lowering springs & shocks/coilovers, colour code the side skirts and add a standard front 4g plastic lip to the rear bumper and you'll have that look pretty much down to a tee. depends then if you want the red recaro's as well 8-)

Want interior as it is but I want an uprated steering wheel, harnesses, water, oil gauges and that's pretty much it for interior

For the exterior I want rear arches cut out and new put in and then paint work tidied up with a front, rear lip, maybe take the rear spoiler off, sunroof bung

Chassis I want uprated lower control arms, bigger arb's,coilovers etc

Well today I've managed to sort front discs and pads today

Had to buy 5mm spacers so I could fit my teg wheels

Also my gearbox oil came today

So Tomorrow, my mechanic is gonna be fitting the crank seal, fit new water pump and then fit a new timing belt with manual tensioner
Then put in new fluid for gearbox, engine, brakes and then use rad flush

Once that's done then mot time

Nice project you've got going on here.
Some parts of this car look in really good condition, but other sections will need some work.

Alloys suit it, but many more lows are needed.
Looking forward to seeing the paint brought back to its former glory as well. Always a soft spot for a red Honda 8-)
