Cool that is what I was checking for.

The reason why I am asking is that I want to take out my built engine to build it more. I want a stock engine to replace it for one season, and I will drop into a lower class.

No idea what I'm going to do only that it needs done. Dunno, stroked to 2.5L, more head work, ITB's :?

Rich mentioned to Dino that he had a better solution for the head, a full race head.

8-) :scaredtoss:
if your going for such a big new bottom and top end build, why don't you sell that engine and use the funds to build a completely new one ;)

I would think that I can reuse the pistons and all of the head internals, saving a fair bit of cash. Also there are not many buyers for 3 grand engine.

But I really need to chat with Rich and see what he can do. I would like to ship the engine down to him.

From my reading you can stroker the engine but the limiting factor is the frm liners as mahle golds only come up to 11.5?

In the full bc stroker kit there's options right up to 14.1 but obviously the block would need to be sleeved due to type of piston supplied. If this option is used wouldn't you be better of starting with a new bottom end and selling on the bottom end you have?

Can't remember how but I'm sure there is a way to up compression that's to do with the thickness of the headgasket. If this is true then you could reuse your pistons.

ITB's respond better to higher compression don't they?

As you say your best off waiting to hear of Rich as this is into build territory that's never been done over here as far as I know that is.

Which ever way you decide with Rich's guidance its going to be a monster build ;)

Yeah will see what he says. I wont be able to go too high on the compression as I think that 12:1 is the limit of pump fuel?

Maybe a race head will be enough. I'd like about another 30bhp if possible.

It's either big build NA or go turbo.

Oooh... more engine work 8-)

This sounds interesting. Ask Rich for the engine he is putting into his orange lude ;)
