Here a have a low mileage 5th Gen 2.2 VTi auto/tiptronic for sale. The car is offered as spare or repair due to a faulty gearbox
It started few weeks ago when I was looking for a Motegi kit for my 5th Gen when I came across this car. Speaking to the seller, I made a deal and bought the car as he refused to break it and these Motegi kits are getting rarer to get hold of. Together I decided id replace the auto box or do a manual conversion and get it back on the road.
The car drives fine, but can only be driven for 5-10 miles before the car will go into neutral. The engine runs fantastic and I cannot find or see any other issues with it. It fires up instantly and engine bay looks nice and tidy. The car has only covered 87,000 miles backup with MOT’s to prove the mileage + a print out to VOSA. The service history is missing however, the previous owner has had it service quiet recently.
I am now thinking that its a project a little too big for me, looking at the work involved, time required and space needed is something I don’t have nor cannot devote to with work and other projects I have going on.
I have therefore decided to sell the car as it is for someone to either replace the gearbox, do or manual conversation or break it for parts (or I will do slowly if I cant sell this within the next 2 months). I’m hoping it doesn’t come to that as it can be rescued and put back onto the road.
The MOT is valid till April 2016 and tax is now not transferable.
Its in original condition, hasn’t been modified at all and comes with:
- H22A5 Engine & Tiptronic gearbox
- 4WS (Fully working)
- Electric Windows & Sunroof
- Cruise Control
- Goodman’s CD Player
- Original Boot Spoiler with light
- Current MOT (Expire 2016)
- V5 Present
- Very clean interior
The body work is in good condition, looking around the car thoroughly there are:
- Passenger door and rear quarter has been keyed lightly by some jealous b@stard before I owned it
- Rear bumper has been filled in near the light and painted over, job done my an amateur! But cannot be seen unless inspected really closely on your knees
- Slight bubbling (just started) on the passenger side rear quarter, driver side looks nice and clean
- Front bumper has slight scuffs on each side but has been touched up
- Previous owner has painted the wheels black, not my kind of taste but would come off with a bit of thinner
- The rocker cover has been sanded down, no idea why but I can assume the previous owner didn’t like the black paint pealing look
I have cleaned and polished the car so you see the car how its truly is.
