Yeah I accept my share of the blame for final nail in the coffin of the S-SPEC, but it certainly was not a whole car when I made arrangements for the engine. TBH the car as a whole was not in good shape anyway, it was shabby. So I saw my opportunity and took it.

Yes, hoverbike! 8-)

TrackScotland 31st October 2015

Post by Merlin » Tue Nov 03, 2015 9:34 am

31/10/15 - TrackScotland

Format - 4 hour open pit
Cost - £100
Conditions - Warm but wet and slippy

Image

It was the last TrackScotland track day of the year so it was a chance to use up the last of the tyres before the winter. I used the day to give passenger rides. The day started off raining with the track only drying in the final hour. It was very slippy on track. The car was fine until the last 30 mins when the passenger side outer CV joint no longer wanted to co-operate. New drive shafts for 2016!

Taking the wife out for a spin. Only the 2nd time she has ever been in the car :D

Following which, she instantly understood what it was all about and said she would never ever again question a penny you wanted to spend on the car and weekends/nights in the garage/at the race track... Right? :? ;)

She did say that she understands how some people get addicted. TBH she is pretty good at leaving me to get on with the car.
