The car is going to be mainly for track days only with the occasional street use. No intentions of bringing it out regularly anymore since i have the crv for that and it is due for a full suspension overhaul so most likely changing all the bushings and control arms, balljoints etc...wurlycorner wrote:Suspension = energy suspension polybush kit and a set of adjustable coilover damper units.
No need to change any other bits on the main suspension, unless you're going very serious track use.
- I was leaning towards the competition flywheel as well, but couldnt decide between Exedy and Competition clutches. Was thinking staying with competition for both? Any reason not to?Merlin wrote:My recommendation on the parts, this is what I would do with a decent budget:
- Euro R manifold - Yup get one
- 12lb flywheel - Competition Clutch light flywheel
- Stage 2 clutch - Exedy stage 2
- Motor mounts - Innovative Mounts 60A
- Transmission (T2T4) - I'd go for a non-lsd (M2a4, M2F5, M2V5, M2P4) and fit a quiafe or other Torsen style LSD
- Suspension - Energy Suspension full 4th gen kit + 5th gen front upper arm bushings and your choice of coilovers
- Motor mounts was thinking of the 75 since it will see some track days as well and potentially boost next year.
- Right now i have Tein superstreets and the 2 fronts are blown, i have picked up a pair of Tein basics used for the front so I'll be selling the whole set and also my h23a donor car has Function and Form Type 1's which i'll also be selling and going to pick up a good set of coils and i'm considering the GC and Koni combo since there is a lot of positive feedback on that.
From all of your responses it look's like I am on the right track, would I benefit from an aluminum rad and silicone hoses? If so what is the advantage? Or can i stick to the stock rad and hoses etc.
Transmission haven't decided 100% on what i want to do yet so we shall see when the time comes.
Aiming to get the swap done by March or April latest.
