And yes there are two different types of front fog switch - the facelift fog switch goes in the row of switches in front of the cupholder ;)

vanzep wrote:Yes on facelift (1994-1996) 4th gens the loom is in place already. You can get a short extension which allows you to mount the relay under the drivers footwell but as said you dont need this part as you can just plug a standard 12v RC relay straight into the plug near the fuse box in the footwell. Any 12V RC relay will do - look in your under bonnet fuse box and you will see the smaller black oblong type of relay that im talking about. You should be able to pick one of these up very easily if you dont already have one.
On preface (1991-1994) 4th gens you need the additional loom as no wiring is in place for the front fogs.

Here is a link to the thread that i put up when i was doing my fogs last years. :)

And the connectors for the lights themselves will be there ready and waiting behind the bumper.

Hope they're not all corroded like mine were!

Yeah got them in firstly,a bit hesitant but a pliers ensured a good fasten.

All good with the relay too,it was all there to see under the footwell with 1 huge neck cramp later the brown plug was sussed out!
Thought i would try my luck with using the hazard button for a trial light up as the plug for the fogs is the same but it didn't do it,will have to wait some more..

Thinking of trying Honda OZ for the switch, not optimistic in it even been listed in the after sales parts but it may have been at some stage and there could be a dusty one lying in a old storage room

Mr Honda here in Australia won't entertain Jdm parts request.

Found this close enough to me but still more than i paid for the fog units

I'm assuming thats the old thinner switch and layout?

Handy to see a pic of the back of the switch and also is that jumper harness needed for the relay, thought i seen vanzep with one too?

Halfway through a job feeling eating at me again :x

You don't need the relay harness, that's simply an extension to what's already there so the relay can be mounted on the cruise module bracket. Once you've located the plug under the dash, the relay in fact plugs directly into it and can be cable tied to the loom.

And that part on Ebay isn't the correct one for your car.

The switch, though, is the hardest part to find. It goes where the blank is to the left of your hazard button. A 5th-gen switch is physically the same apparently, but the connector layout is different so it won't work without modifying the wires going to the plug.

If you wish I could ask the dealer here to order the switch, they will do so, I could do that and let you know the price.
