hi all,
Long story short, I suck at body work, and my mk3 prelude is slightly more rusty than I had originally thought, as I no longer need the car for a daily drive, sadly it has to go.
If you were so inclined with some decent cutting and welding I reckon she could be restored, but more likely a cheap run around of even more likely a parts car to keep other mk3's on the road.
whole photobucket album here.

I've written an ebay add, details here.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191784305976? ... 9#shpCntId
But I'll also summaries here.
During my ownership I’ve changed the oil, oil filter, fuel filter, gearbox oil (twice to ensure full flush), rotor arm & dizzy cap, antifreeze. The car runs and drives well, for the past 6 months was my daily drive, still has 6 months MOT left.
There is only 1 receipt and an MOT certificate for the service history, however I've had a decent look around, mechanically this car has been well cared for, the engine is very clean under the rocker cover, indicating regular servicing.
Mechanically other than the clicking CV joint, the car is excellent, I would be confident to drive it any distance.
Bad points.
The paintwork is poor, the boot lid is wrong.
There is a CV joint knocking when turning right.
There is a fair bit of rust.
Good points.
The interior is in immaculate condition, see pictures.
All electrics work (except drivers door open sensor)
The engine is strong
The auto gearbox changes smoothly and doesn’t slip.
The car drives well.
Pop-up headlights!
6mths MOT left!
As this is a 1988 prelude there are some rare parts on this car, which were only on the 88-89 year preludes, such as the Dash VSS.
I've got the car advertised for £500ono on ebay, but if someone from here wants to buy, I'm happy to work out a deal, drop me a PM.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

I reckon someone should buy it, stick a load of civic scene tat on it, matt black vinyl it and add £2k to the price, quick!
(sorry el squiddo, that's a dig/joke pointed elsewhere, not really in reference to your car!)
Sorry to see you're selling up.
It looks like a pretty solid thing tbh.
Where are the audio speakers in the car, out of interest? There should be grilles in the front of the door cards???

Hi Guys,
There is quite a lot of rust around the boot\rear screen, I've fiberglass filled and painted to keep water out, but it needs properly cutting out to really do justice.
I don't know how solid the car is underneath, the sills look ok, except by the rear wheels are starting to rust again.
I'm sure there are front speakers in the door Iain, the door cards look the same as my mk2 prelude ones, no holes or grill for the speakers, but I'm sure they are there. sadly all the speakers in this car are shot, the wiring for the audio works, as I had a radio in whilst I was using the car, the speakers make treble, but just fart when it comes to mid or bass.
I'll be a bit sad to see the car go, I do love look and drive of the mk3, reckon I will have one again soon, that needs less bodywork.
I'm actually surprised at the demand, car has been on ebay 3 hours and already 2 offers close to what I'd accept.

ahh, right, maybe I should slap a load of halfords\ripspeed junk on the car and up the price by 2k, TRD Lazer style
