Never went on one, but remember seeing them when my parents used to take us over to France on the ferry for day trips and they're just awesome 8-) One of my university lecturers worked on the design for them, too (yes, he was of course, absolutely bonkers too!)

Didn't realise they were still around and I definitely wanna go and see them now that I do know! Just hope it's not gonna be too late! :cry:

They are quite a piece of engineering, would be a huge shame to see em scrapped :|

We used them quite regularly. Noise, vibration, harshness ...

1/2 hour from Calais to Dover though i could put up with the harshness and vibration :lol: and they carried cars and vans

the military should never have gotten rid of theirs :roll: we are supposed to be advancing technology and it seems we are stagnating back to trains and ferry ships yeah thats what i call progress
