Never went on one, but remember seeing them when my parents used to take us over to France on the ferry for day trips and they're just awesome One of my university lecturers worked on the design for them, too (yes, he was of course, absolutely bonkers too!)

Didn't realise they were still around and I definitely wanna go and see them now that I do know! Just hope it's not gonna be too late!

Now owned by the government... so, obviously... scrap them instead of let a charitable museum show them to the public

They are quite a piece of engineering, would be a huge shame to see em scrapped

We used them quite regularly. Noise, vibration, harshness ...

1/2 hour from Calais to Dover though i could put up with the harshness and vibration and they carried cars and vans

Ignore the numpties in the video - they even remember to take the dark filter off eventually...
