Pretty sure the EP3 CTR was never officially imported either - it's covered under a 'specific enthusiast interest' scheme that allows relatively easy personal imports of it. (I did some research on vehicle importing to Aus over a year ago and pretty sure that's what I turned up).

EDIT: yep, here is the gen on the scheme and here is the list of vehicles covered. EP3 CTR is on there :ugeek:
Good spotting there wurly 8-)

I have seen a few dealers with them too, never a big fan of them myself just nice to see some imported cars with the H badge for a change!

Some news just out too,new car buyers will do well, maybe a chance to get that classic Cr-x after all :D

Highlights of the changes include:
  • Individuals can now import one new car every two years
Each parallel import must be 12 months old or less, and must have travelled less than 500km
Imports will only be allowed initially from the United Kingdom and Japan due to high safety standards and right-hand drive
Changes will be made to the import of classic and convertible cars over 25 years old, scrapping a historic $12,000 duty on imports
First para realistically means you are only importing a new car!
Last point is the important bit for for me though
