Cruise Control Failure
Hello Luders....
So yesterday Mr Free Ranj Egg decides to take Mrs Egg out for a day of shopping...
I am happily travelling along the M42 and then hit the M1 and there are roadworks between Nottingham and Sheffield.
So I decide to stick my Cruise on at 50 mph...
The button to engage cruise works fine...
I press set at 50 and then take my foot off the pedal...It didnt set.
So I tried a few things like accelerating to 60 and setting but it failed.
Any suggestions to what the problem may be?
Thanks in advance
Ranj

The cruise control on/off button. If you're driving and cruise doesn't work, switch the cruise control off, then back on again.Free Ranj Egg wrote:Ian. Apologies but im not the most technical person. How do i restore normality by switching it on/off at the switch or ignition?

Or alternatively, switch the ignition off/on when you get an opportunity.
Either would achieve the same result - resets the cruise control ecu.
Phil may have suggested what is the true cause BTW
