I bought it off ebay - you can do a search for VHT SP206 and that should throw up quite a few results - can cost £6.95 plus shipping.

cheers Al - i just let it air dry so wrinkle is less pronounced - might need to get your heat gun and give it a blast to cure it :)

Giving it a blast with the heat gun certainly wont do any harm.

it says it needs to be baked at 200 for 30 mins to cure the paint so heat gun should do that - my oven isnt big enough to fit the rocker cover in - ive tried

1991 JDM BB1 - Rocker Cover and Rear Discs

Post by vanzep » Wed Mar 16, 2016 1:28 pm

Couple of pics of finished rocker cover - im pleased with the results and love the colour - in some lights it looks sparkly like it has a metal flake in it but its just the way the light is reflected - makes a nice to change to red or black

other good news - another set of mega cheap rear discs arrived - top quality :)

5th Gen Motegi Alloys

Post by vanzep » Sun Mar 20, 2016 8:53 pm

Decided it was time to take the winter wheels off and get the Motegi Alloys on.
The alloys came off a 5th Gen 2 Litre so are 4 stud and so are perfect for a 4th Gen.
I gave them a quick refurb and used 2k laquer to finish them off.
Then fitted a couple of new toyos on the fronts and a couple of part worn tyres on the back.
Everything went well right up until i realised the new alloys would need the short open ended lug nuts - thought i had a set in amongst the 60 or so wheel nuts i have here. No such luck i only had 7 lugs nuts so couldnt fit the centre caps.
Anyway @newkid came to rescue and helped me out and i got the centre caps fitted today and took a few quick photos.
Also thanks to @3rd gen steve & co. for taking the tyres on and off and balancing them perfectly ;)
I think they suit the car :)

Theres the rusty 5th gen in the background :P

I also took a few photos of the car with new number plates fitted front and back.
What a difference to the ugly oversized plates it had on before.
