I'd buy a decent R33 and leave the lude as it is.

nice motor

I would sort out the paint and flip a coin each day as I drove down to tesco to grab some snacks.
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.

Ok let me rephrase, when I said rebuilt and service for £1K I meant to say do a proper service. Including the timing belt, small port and polish to the head etc. That should be done in the £1K budget ?

Your head is already ported and polished however that alone will be around £900-1200 plus a £600 full engine service. Anything with a valvetrain is very labour labor intensive.

How much would it cost to remove that ATTS rubbish?

If I still had my Lude, and was given £5k to spend only on the Lude, I would probably have gone for a small turbo setup.

And some more rattle cans 8-)

For 5K I would do the following:

Accord Type R engine and gearbox. Tidy it up and fit myself. £2700
Refurb the current wheels £300
Top end quality road tyres. £1000
New back box. £400
New trims all round £600

Engine would be the main bit. I'd be happy with a clean H22A7 in her, spend time cleaning it up and drop it in. Though she would need a remap/ECU change so I think I've covered that in the cost above.
Thankfully the suspension in mine is already good enough for what I use it for and I've spent the money on the paintwork. So this can be spent on the fun stuff haha.
Except trim. Trim is boring but necessary.
