Well I'm very happy with my quote from flux direct..

I've not had the best track record and with all modifications declared on the civic declared and value agreed at 5k for with me and Donna it's only £570 for the year :)
I remember when we insured the prelude at £2k when it was nearly standard and now for a quarter of the price we can insure a mildly speced car thanks to Adrian flux!
Everyone else is about £1000-£1500 for the civic

sound. I'll get a fix on the companies that are actually covering me and see how we go. I was very suprised to see sub 200£ at all. I have yet to get the email through with the details.

I've previously used Flux at various times in my past, on CX's and had no problems at all. Not had to claim though.
Lisa has been insured with them the last couple of years IIRC and no problems.
Can't recall if that's who she was insured with back when the lude trashed a Focus ShiT?

In my experience, they are utter sh!te.

In 2005, I drove my previous 1997 Prelude into a ditch. No one else involved, just me, understeer and a ditch. The car was trashed. My car was insured with Equity Red Star through Adrian Flux. Straight forward claim you would think. I was repeatedly fobbed off with excuses and blatant lies by both the insurance broker and the insurance company themselves. Frequent excuses included "it is in the hands of their engineers", "it is in the hands of their technicians", "we will be in contact to make an offer" and "we are evaluating the damage to the vehicle" even after they had declared it a total loss. They gave the impression that they didn't know what was going on and there was a lack of internal communication. On two occasions, they also misplaced the documents I sent them. After 2 months of futile telephone calls with the brain dead useless morons, I got sick of it and my Dad done the rest of the calls from there on (pretending to be me). After agreeing a settlement figure, they still persisted in messing me around. It took them 12 weeks to pay out (1 more week and it would have been 3 months).

My advice is stay away.

lol, they wont insure my cars mate. They just about did the BMW then the next year I want to drive a Toyota hilux, a 20 year old diesel, and they get all shy frilly knickers about it. Then they made an almighty funk up of my NCB and I had to pay twice and wait for a refund. Total shower of shi-t. That was my experience of their customer service.I wouldn't take the chance.

The RAC can go suck my left nut. they wanted £460 for the toyota this year.... I have both the lux and the lude on an agreed value policy full comp for 450 combined. Gert lush.

AXA are a decent composite insurer. I've dealt with them for years and throughout their various name changes (Westgate, Provincial, UAP Provincial) who became AXA when the French bought them.

Never heard of Trinity Lane, sounds like an underwear boutique for crossdressers.
