This info is in the wiki along with a load of other good info - you can also download the Honda Manuals ;)

Okay thanks for the code, how do I go about reading them? Is there a way without plugging a machine into it?

Ah read the link you sent Vanzep, do do I need to be checking behind the clutch for retrieving the error code? As After reading up isn't the one for the ECU on the passenger side near the footwell?

No it's drivers side footwell, near the clutch pedal.

On the 5th gen the service connector is on the passenger side behind a triangular piece of trim of the center console. There will be holder that has two connectors, a large one and a small two pin one. It is the smaller one you need to short.
