Bonnet heat cover - any issues with removing it?
Hey guys,
My bonnet heat cover is all tatty so have been thinking of removing it?
There any chance of causing any issues with this, or does it make any difference at all?

If that's the case I know what I'll be doing tomorrow !mills wrote:No probs at all buddy. You will just get a bit of steam coming from the top of the bonnet when you are driving in the rain.

It's there to damp noise, vibration and prevent the bonnet overheating and cooking the paint.
The world will not end if you remove it but chances of all the above will increase slightly.
I don't spend much time admiring the underside of my bonnet, so on the balance of the other benefits it brings, I can cope with it still being there instead of shiny paint.
