Ive got a few 4th gen temp/fuel clusters
there are different ones depending on what options it has
best thing to do is take the old one out and there will be a paper label with the part number on it - that way you can be guaranteed its the right part

Sorry for the 'obvious question', but have you checked it's not just the dimmer switch that's turned down low (my 4g has a dimmer switch on it for the instrument panel). What about replacing bulbs ?Marklesal wrote:Hi there, anyone got a temp & fuel cluster for a 4th gen?

Early model 4th gens (91-93) did not come with a dimmer control
the dimmer control was on facelift (94-96) models which also have the el speedo&revs dials

Not quite as simple as that... My ukdm (pre-face) has a dimmer from build, so it's also possibly market dependent.vanzep wrote:Early model 4th gens (91-93) did not come with a dimmer control

Hmmmm
This raises a thought, my 95 JDM BB4 (facelift) has dimmer control in the centre armrest just under the hatch and my 94 AUDM BB2 (facelift also) has the dimmer up to the right of the steering wheel along with the sunroof switch..
The one in the BB4 looks OEM to be fair... Which one is correct?
Sorry to thread jack
I do actually have a fuel and temp gauge from a preface BB1 for sale but I'm in Australia so may not be convenient

Both my pre-facelift ludes had dimmers in the switch bank behind the handbrake. Both were UKDM models though.
