3G - where to buy thermostat housing gasket?

Post by Space1999 » Wed Nov 02, 2016 12:36 pm

Can anyone suggest where to buy a thermostat housing gasket (that goes onto the block)? Needless to say mine has started weeping badly and they're on back order at Honda right now!

Are there any good OEM parts factors that you can recommend?

Any suggestions appreciated!

Car is 1991 2.0i 4WS

Buy gasket material, draw around shape and cut out with craft knife?

Is it a traditional gasket, or a rubber seal?

Traditional. On back order from Honda so could take months – in the meantime coolant is pissing out so car is undriveable...

Yep, you'll need to make your own then, unless you an find on eBay, or find a new thermostat that comes with a gasket (they sometimes do).
