3rd Gen Door Strips and Rear Seat Release Latch

Post by Metalhead » Tue Dec 20, 2016 4:31 pm

I'm after 3G facelift door strips in good condition (not split or the internal metal rusted). I also want to remove the facelift locking rear seat latch with the pre-facelift dial/switch.

Hope someone has these bits?

Thanks,

~Phil.

It's the black strips that go along each side of the car - mine have all rusted (internally) and split at the ends

If you know anyone who has some better ones please let me know - I would take the strips from the front and rear wings too if they're available.

Me neither, the car is being stripped as I'm doing a full nut and bolt restoration so I'll get these off at the weekend and see what's happened to allow water into the back of them!

Beware the front door mouldings are a bit of a pita to remove if you haven't done them before.
There's a nut on the back (one end only) and elsewhere along the strip are clips that need to be squeezed together from inside the door before they release from the door. IIRC there is one that's not immediately obvious/easy to get to at one end of the door.

Thanks! I have done before but forgot about the nut so that's a good heads-up!!! 8-)
