Welcome, only just seen this thread.
Very clean looking lude and leather in a 2.0 is quite a rare combination?
There was a thread very recently about whether it was OK to remove the heat shield (it's not just a heat shield, it also acts as a noise/vibration damper, BTW). You can do it yes and might not notice any difference, however the bonnet might also get slightly hotter and might vibrate a little more.
If you have a look around at recent threads in other sections of the forum (I'm gonna guess either general chat, engine or bodywork sections???) you may find the discussion.
