Hi all would like to introduce myself and my story. My name is Danny and I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect Honda Prelude for about 2 years now. It all started back in 2004 when my dad owned his Prelude, it was a two litre model and was an absolute joy to drive according to my dad. He loved every second of being in it. After a couple of years of owning it, he told me that although he loved it the one he truly wanted was the 2.2 Vtec model. Unfortunately he became ill shortly after and never got round to looking for one. 2 years ago he passed away and the car was left to me, which I loved but sadly had to sell as I couldn’t afford to keep it going financially. I’m in a much better position now and have done a fair bit of research into the one I would like. I found the perfect one in Portsmouth about 3 months ago so I left a note on the windshield to ask if I could buy it. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it had 36,260 miles and was in immaculate condition. Is the owner on this site? Would love to make a sensible offer on it if so. To me it’s a nice way of remembering my dad.

Is it a 4th Gen on 5th Gen you're after? (5th Gen is the body type currently showing in the top right of the forum, manufactured from 1997-2001)

Hi Wurlycorner. The one I really want is a 5 generation which is the one my dad had. The one I saw in Portsmouth was perfect, it was black (my dads favourite colour for this car) and it had what looked like a body kit? I wrote the number plate down hoping to find it. Have gone back to the same spot for over 2 months but haven’t seen it again.

Haven’t seen that one Andy, I’m a bit of a fossil when it comes to the internet. Was really hoping to find the guy in Portsmouth as it’s the best one I’ve seen.

I remember there was a Luvly black 2.0i for sale in London on Auto trader a while back.
Was mega low mileage too but a lot of dosh.

Thank you Toadster. Is the blue Prelude yours? Trying to get a 2.2 as it’s the one that my dad really wanted. The one I saw in Portsmouth was W331 NLD, is it on this forum? Would really like to buy it.

Yep Blue one is mine.
Unsure if the Lude you're looking for is on here.
Not that many black 5th Generation on the forum that I can think of.
