Re: Weekend Toy / Show Car
The glass on my moonroof is sitting a little high after I changed it. Someone at the North Wales meet said I can shim it to adjust the height. If I put shims between the frame and the sunroof, will that make it sit lower or higher?

wurlycorner, vtecmec so... just to confirm (as it doesn't make sense to me) if I remove the 8 bolts holding moonroof on (leaving frame on car), lift moonroof off, put some shims between frame and moonroof, and put moonroof back, then this will make it sit LOWER ?

Re: Weekend Toy / Show Car
hmmm ok.... I'm confused then. When I got the moonroof that I put in recently (replacing existing moonroof), I simple unbolted it from the frame it was on (it had some shims between frame and moonroof). I then just put this in place (without the shims), replacing the existing moonroof, without taking roof lining off.
So, if I am to make the moonroof sit lower, I need to take roof lining off, remove whole frame underside of roof, and put shims between frame and underside of car's roof ?

Damn. Really didn;t want to take roof lining offVtecmec wrote:Yes. Though you don't remove the whole frame, just remove a bolt at a time and shim as you go along.
